Hi everyone, I am an international junior in USA. Now I am really concern about the college business

Initially, my GPA score last year was pretty bad, about 3.4 and I did't take any AP classes( first year in America, I am Asian)

This year, hopefully I can get above 3.6. Furthermore, my SAT score up to now is 1860. In one year ahead, can I improve my score above 2000? Can anyone show me the way to reach that score?

In addition, I passed B2 in French DEFL test and I wonder how much score can I get in the SAT II subject test? Does the SAT II effect my chance?( my math is good, I think I can get more than 750 in Math 2- I also tried it before)

SAT Score = major red flag
no AP classes = major red flag

We can’t do anything about the lack of ap classes, but try to get into the 2100s at least.

Well since you’re an international student, they probably won’t be as worried about your AP sscores, but I agree with @Jarjarbinks23 about SAT scores…try to get those up!
Do your SAT math and French but know that NYU isn’t really interested in them; their test score policy is like this:
3 SAT subject tests OR SAT 1 OR ACT with writing

Thank for your helps. Also my Chemistry is pretty good and I believe that I can have more than 700 in SAT 2( I did the test in Barron book). Now I still confused that what if my SAT score just around the 2000, I have 3 subject test with good score. Is it ok?

Yes that is fine. You can send those in if you’d like. But your overall SAT1 is very weak.

In the first SAT I wasted so much time because lake of experience, this test was so new to me at that moment. Now,I confident enough to believe that I can have better score :)
