Like, can I start sending my teacher recommendations, transcripts, etc. before submitting the main Common Application. I mean, will they just put it aside before getting my Common App?

Becuase I want to start sending stuff, but I'm still working on my essay and can't submit the Common App yet.

I don't think there's a problem with that. That's what I did.

I sent in my supplements a couple weeks before the common app. and my teacher recs were like a month before.
so it's fine.

yes, they'll start a file and add stuff as it comes in, no matter what comes in first...after submitted the common app though, i would call the admissions office and double check they have everything so you dont get screwed

hai! i did it, as well.

I certainly hope that you have sent your SAT scores already, as those can take several weeks. It is a good idea to ask for rec. letters, transcripts etc. to be sent out earlier, as you are depending on other people, who may not have the same sense of urgency, or may have too many students that they are doing this for.
