I am an international student, valedictorian of my class, winner of many contests, mostly literature and creative writing, but I'm interested in science as well, esp.in biology, physics and computer science.Comming from a country unstable and weak both financially and politically I've earned a life experience much richer than that of an average 18 years old and I'm no stranger to hardships and challanges.I've dreamed since I was little that I would attend a college with great potential such as Harvard or Yale therefore I always worked hard throughout my entire academical education.Last year however a series of terrible events left me thinking that that was it.. no further education for me,so I foolishly dropped the registering for the TOEFL,SAT and SAT II.This year, thank god, everything is slowly going back to normal,my grades are still excellent,I registered for the TOEFL and SAT but I was too late for the SAT II.((( Am I totally doomed or is there a chance that my application will still be considered if I explain my situation(great gpa, will most probably have a perfect SAT score, but no SAT II.. just becouse I was too late for them, not afraid of them at all as I took chemistry, maths, physics, biology, history, geography etc for 8 years)I know there are tons of perfect students applying there but to me this would really be lifesaving.

You would not be eligible for the schools that require the SAT II. You could take them in the spring and apply for in the next admissions cycle.

There are plenty of great schools which do not require the SAT IIs. However, if you have your heart set on Harvard and Yale, you will need to fulfill all their requirements.

Can you register for the ACT that is on December 10th? Some schools will accept the ACT instead of SAT and SAT II. Yale and Duke will accept ACT without SAT II.

Don’t know if ACT with writing is an option for you, but many schools take that as equivalent to SAT plus SAT subject tests.
