Can I still apply to UCF for the fall?

I graduated from high school last year (2013) and I took a semester off. I am now enrolled in my local community college and have to take pre-tech courses this semester...but the thing is I really want to attend a university instead of a community college. (my dream is UCF) Can I still apply for next semester? (I checked the application deadlines) Would I be considered a transfer student? Am I still eligible if I want to attend UCF in the fall?

Do I need 60 semester hours to transfer? Or would I just be considered a freshman because I'm taking pre-tech courses and not actual college courses?

I am so confused! I do not want to stay in community college. I'd rather attend UCF or another university instead!

Sorry I sound stupid but I'm doing this all on my own...and I just need some answers lol. Thank you!

Why don’t you just contact the admissions office directly?

I guess I should lol

Since you have under 60 credits, you’d apply as a Freshman. I think there’s section in the application that asks you if you have taken any college classes in the past, so that’s where you’ll put that information. And then just send off your college transcript, high school transcript, and test scores to them.

If you had more than 60 credits, then yes, you’d be considered a transfer student. And if that we’re the case, they wouldn’t need your test scores and your high school transcript. Your admissions decision would be based solely on your college transcript.

And no, I don’t think it’s too late to apply!
