Being stupid, I just recently found out that the UC's I'm looking at require subject tests for engineering. I really don't want to spend another 100 or so dollars on subject tests, so I was wondering if I can still get accepted into these schools of engineering? Would they even look at my application, if I didn't take them?

By the way I passed the Calculus AB exam and more than likely will pass the BC exam. I would like to think that I will pass my chemistry exam this year too. Can these scores equate the value of the subjects tests that I didn't take?

I don’t believe any of the UCs require subject tests. Many recommend them for competitive majors like engineering…such as Berkelry, UCLA, SD, Irvine, SB…

Yea, I shouldn’t have said “required” but will I still have a chance? I don’t want to waste $70 on application on a school that I know I won’t have a chance.

Well, they would make your app stronger, and it might be the difference between getting in and not. But if you feel your overall app is strong enough, then don’t bother with them. Your scores should be good enough. :)
