I know it's been like two months since they've sent out acceptances/rejections/whatever, but is it too late for me to call them? I just want to know why I was rejected. Also, do I have any chance of changing their decision if I'm like, "GAHHHH, UCSD IS MY FIRST CHOICE."?

why didn’t you appeal?

I don’t have any compelling new information about myself that would help. D: Mainly, I just want to know why I was rejected. It seems like the admissions were pretty wonky for UCSD this year. Maybe I’m just ****ed that I didn’t get in, though. Lol. ]:

yea lol i feel you, they only accepted 3,692 out of 48,000+ freshman apps (thats 7.7%! … so low…)

^No, that’s incorrect. 3692 will be the size of the freshman class, aka the number of people that actually decide to enroll. They accepted MANY more than that to make sure that many will actually send their SIR in.
7.7% is lower than Harvard, lol
