Can I still drop a class?

I'm a freshman and I'm taking 15 hours but want to drop a class so I'll have a more manageable 12 hours. The class I'm taking is okay, but I don't love it and it ends at the same time another class across campus starts so I'm always late to the other class. anyway, I was wondering since the 4 day add/drop period is over, if I can still drop this class and how to go about doing that. I just want to work on keeping my GPA up this first semester and I think it'd be better to adjust to college life with 12 hours...I'm already overwhelmed with everything socially, school-wise, etc...just need to downsize a bit!!

thanks!

Just go to your majors advising office and they should be able to do it or you may have to go to the advising office for the dept that offers the course you want to drop. For future reference the 4th class day is the last to drop and get a refund, but since UT doesn’t charge for more hours beyond 12 you wouldn’t get one anyways.

Yes, it’s actually quite simple. The registration site lets you drop, but not add anything for a few more days. Just go there, and you can drop it instantly.

I cut down to 12 hours as well, yesterday.
