I was recently accepted with a $15,000 presidential scholarship. Does this have any bearing on how much aid i will receive this Friday when awards come out? Is there still a a chance GW will give me a substantial amount of money? I ask because i see other admits that got much larger pres scholarships...

Yes, it will have substantial bearing on how much grant money you will receive. Ultimately, however, the final package will be dependent on just how much financial need your family has. I had high financial need, and didn’t receive merit aid, and managed to get almost all my expenses covered.

There’s no use in speculating, you’ll see on Friday.

FA information is now posted - at least for my D. You should check it out.

I got the 15k scholarship and a great amount of fin aid! I can go :)

how do i check?

You go to the admitted students page and click “check financial aid,” and then you need to create a login with your GW ID which was on the page GW sent you to tell you admissions decisions were up.

are the presidential scholarships renewable for all 4 years?
