Can I still get accepted?

Being stupid, I just recently found out that the UC’s I’m looking at require subject tests for engineering. I really don’t want to spend another 100 or so dollars on subject tests, so I was wondering if I can still get accepted into these schools of engineering? Would they even look at my application, if I didn’t take them?

By the way I passed the Calculus AB exam and more than likely will pass the BC exam. I would like to think that I will pass my chemistry exam this year too. Can these scores equate the value of the subjects tests that I didn’t take?

Or should I just start looking at CSUs…

Thanks for the help.

From the UC website:

If you are a senior, the AP scores would not be available before admissions decisions, so you only have your calc AB score to show. BTW, 2 subject tests are $58.00, not “100 or so.”
