Can I still get CLEP credit at UW-Madison given that I already have 24 AP credits?

Hi everyone! So I will be attending University of Wisconsin-Madison this fall and my personal portal(My UW) shows that I have 24 credits already. I got these credits from APs I have taken, and I still want to take one or two CLEP exams to receive more transfer credits at UW(fortunately this university accepts CLEP credit!).However I checked UW-Madison's policy regarding CLEP credit and it said as following:

"................. Students must earn a minimum score of 65 and take CLEP exams before completing 16 semester hours of college credit in order to receive credit."

Given this policy and the 24 credits I already have from APs, am I still eligible to receive CLEP credits at UW-Madison?I really don't know whether I should take CLEP exams with this confusion in mind. Can any people, epsecially current Badgers help?

Why don’t you ask the school?
