I have two D’s and I was wondering if I’m still able to get in a CSU?
If you do not retake the courses, the D’s will be included in your CSU GPA calculation if they are from 10-11th grade. If you do retake the courses, the new grade will replace the old grade. You also have to meet the a-g course requirements, so if you cannot validate the D grades, by taking an passing a higher level course for then you may not meet the minimum a-g course requirements. In what courses did you get the D’s? Are they final grades (2nd semester?)
Much depends upon in which courses you received the grades.
No they aren’t final and it was Chemistry but I’m retaking it next year and IM2 which I’m taking over summer @Gumbymom
Will you be retaking Chemistry Senior year? Since they are not final, just try your hardest to get them up to C by year’s end and you should be fine. I wouldn’t panic unless they stay a D by the end of the year.
I’m a sophomore rightnow @Gumbymom
So if you end up getting those D’s, then retaking the classes will replace those grades and the D’s will not be used in your CSU GPA calculation. Again, it is better to get those final grades up to at least a C, then there would be no reason to retake the classes.
