Can I still get into a UC?

Hi everyone. My goal is currently UC Davis with a major in Biochemistry. Well there’s been a dilemma concerning my grades. I currently received my first semester grades for Junior Year and they aren’t looking too great. Here’s what my grades look so far. My U/W GPA is 3.86 and my Weighted GPA is 4.25. My SAT score is a 2020. I am a varsity track runner and volunteer frequently. Will the C+ in AP Stat ruin my chances?

One C will not break you, but since all the UC’s are competitive, you want to have the best grades possible. I personally know 2 applicants that were accepted into UC’s with 1 C grade. Just keep studying hard and do your best to get your next semester grade up to at least a B. After your Junior year, calculate your UC GPA and see where you stand. Your SAT is a competitive score and you want your UC GPA around a 4.0 or higher. Good Luck.

not on its own, but you better bring that to a B or more for second semester.
