i got a D first semester in AP Statistics. Am I screwed? I am going to report it and I can definitely get at least a C second semester. I am trying to see if I can retake it in a community college to make up for the D. I've never received a D before! ever! any advice???

Definitely go and report this to admissions. The worst that could happen is that you will get your acceptance (if you do get in) rescinded.

Yes you can, but do report it ASAP (and don’t forget to report it to the other UC’s separately, not just UCI). UCI is still in the process of making decisions at this point. I feel like UCI is generally very lenient (in my year, I’ve had classmates get D’s and retain their admission offer), and stats is not a crucial class at all (unless you are a stats major). Don’t waste your time retaking the class at a community college. If you get a 3 on the AP test, UCI will give you stats credit.

The mid-level UCs are less strict, but do report it.
