I applied to the big 3 (Berkeley, LA, San Diego) as target/reach schools. I have nearly straight A’s, but fall of last year I got a C in U.S. history. I’ve taken AP Calculus AB and BC and gotten A’s every semester, I got A’s in AP Physics, I aced AP french, and I’ve gotten 4’s and 5’s on my AP exams. Overall I have a 3.73 UC GPA (unweighted) and a 4.09 weighted. I got a 2250 on the SAT, 770 on math II, and 760 on Physics. I’ve been on cross-country for 4 years and track for 3, I’ve been in the musical twice, and I am a volunteer peer tutor.
I go to a school that is very well-known among the UC’s and is generally considered very difficult, so my GPA is actually close to the average for admits from my school. I also received the disability supplement from Cal in regards to some auditory processing problems that I mentioned in my application; I explained that they might have contributed to my less-than-awesome grades last fall, but that they couldn’t be entirely at fault.
My question is, given what I’ve explained above, do I still have a chance of getting into UC Berkeley?
