Title says it all.. can I submit my ACT scores to colleges if I haven't submitted the actual application, recs, etc to the school?

And I mean like after you’ve already taken the test and gotten your scores. Not the option you fill out before you take the test. Thanks :)

You can send score reports either before or after submitting the application. Schools will hold on to all of your materials until your application is complete.

My son knew where he wanted to go since Jr High, so he submitted ACT and AP scores years before before applying - first AP as a Soph. Us parent’s weren’t so confident, so we recommended he also have them sent to his top 5 choices.

^That’s fine, but just so students understand, AP score reports only need to be sent to the school where you choose to matriculate, they do not have to accompany applications.

[note: there are a few exceptions for schools that accept AP scores in lieu of other standardized testing]
