Can I submit an application prior to receiving my SAT scores?

I plan to apply to a college whose application deadline is in June. I take the SAT in May–is it possible to apply before I get my SAT scores, and is it a good idea?

You may apply at any time. Usually, this means that they will accept the May SAT score, expecting it to arrive after the June 1 deadline. Less likely, it might mean that they only accept scores from earlier test dates. Check the school’s FAQs or ask the admissions office.
