Can I take AP Physics 2 without taking AP Physics 1 if I took Honors Physics already?

If necessary, I’m willing to study over the summer to make up for lost material. But do I need to?

I’m in Grade 11 now, and here’s what I’ve done for science courses

Grade 9 – Honors Physics
Grade 10 – Honors Biology
Grade 10/11 (Summer) – College Prep Chemistry
Grade 11 – A.P. Biology
Grade 12 – A.P. Physics 2 (hopefully)

I did really well in Honors Physics freshman year.

Also, I took Precalculus already, am taking A.P. Statistics now, and will take A.P. Calculus BC during Grade 12.

Thanks!

Probably, but your school sets the prereqs. But the bigger question is “why?” If you’ll be taking calc, and you already had a physics course, you’d be better off that AP Physics C, if available.
