can i take dance classes at nyu if it's not my major?

i don't know if anyone knows the answer... but i'm majoring in political science (CAS), and i'm a dancer so i still want to be able to take dance classes. i just don't know if i'd be allowed to take any dance classes if it's not my major and i'm not a part of that college, because from the website, it looks like you have to major in dance in order to take those classes...

I'm pretty sure you can take dance. Through electives in CAS, you can take a few Tisch classes.

You should also know that there is a big dance center in NY with lots of classes available, all styles of dance. See the web site here: http://www.bwydance.com/
It's on Broadway & 57th, near Columbus Circle. Of course you would have to pay for these classes -- they charge about $15/class.

I do think that the offerings at Tisch for nonmajors is very limited. (I'm also the mom of a dancer who is not majoring in dance, but my daughter chose Gallatin in part because they do have dance workshops offered. )
