I signed up for 2 tests, and I was wondering if I can just take one of them and take the other one later.

no. as far as i know, if you dont take the other tests, it will cancel all of your scores. i believe its an all or nothing deal.

are you sure?

I read somewhere on the website that you can just leave after one... that's what I am doing at least. I signed up for 2 and only am going to take one.

EDIT: Does anyone else know for sure?

I found it:

we only have to take one.

but you're still paying for 2 tests, right?

Yes there should be a sticky about this or something. It doesnt matter which test you take or how many you take as long as you are registered for 1 SAT II. This being said, there should be no reason you should register for more then 1 SAT II because you can take more then that is on your ticket. This time around i was registered for math Ic and USH but i only took math IIc.

okay so if you want to take extra test the day of you can. The procter just marks it down (happened to a girl in my room). If you want to take less than what you signed up for you can too.

If you take extra collegeboard will bill you and won't send you results untill you pay. If you take less than what you signed up for they prob will not refund you!

Yeah, they don't refund you, unfortunately.

"If you take extra collegeboard will bill you and won't send you results untill you pay."

Not necessarily true! I got my results for the extra tests I took without paying the bills that Collegeboard sent (I forgot about them for a month or so).

With the IIs, you can take whatever you want, as many as you want, and change your mind about which and how many you want to take. They will bill you for however many you fill out bubbles for.

So if we only want to take 1, we can't even start the other one right? Cuz once you start, it's either cancel all or nothing, correct?

correct. 10 char

I had posted the same question before, and I sent the CollegeBoard an email to ask about this question.
This was what I got:

Good morning,

Thank you for contacting The College Board to let us know you would like
to change your subject test.

To make the change, simply let the proctor know that you are changing
from one type of SAT II test to another. The same applies if you are
registered for more than one SAT II test and need to omit a test. All
of the SAT II subject tests are located in one test booklet, so you can
just turn to the test you want to take.

You do not have to contact SAT Services to make the change. You can
simply make the change on test day at the test center with the proctor
before testing begins.

If you have further questions, please give us a call at 212-713-8165.

Thank you,
