Hi, I’m student in santa monica college and I’ll transfer to UCSD in Fall 2016. I can certainly finish 60 units until Spring 2016, but there are two more IGETC classes I have to take after Spring semester. So is it acceptable if I take IGETC classes after spring?

IGETC completion is not an admissions requirement. It depends on the requirements of your major. Some will let you file partial. If it’s a highly selective major, just know, it makes you less competitive if you have not completed it. Just check the rules of your major by campus and college. For instance berkeley L&S requires full IGETC by spring. And verify with a uc rep.

I’m engineering major, and IGETC doesn’t matter when applying UCLA and UC berkeley, but it requires another engineering major such as UCSD.
Call UCSD and ask
How does wait list work? Do they roll them out or just wait until after June 1 to decide?
