So I just signed up for a "Historical colloquium (History 290) -- graduate lecture series" course and while I honestly have no idea what this class is, I just wanted to have a good choice of classes to narrow down too at the start of the semester, I just realized that as an undergrad I don't even know if I can take the course. I don't know if Tele-bears allows one to sign in to classes that they are not qualified for or not, so the fact that it let me sign in isnt a good enough answer for me at this time, but am I allowed to take this course even though I am an undergrad? Does anyone have any idea what exactly this course is? lol.

undergrads taking graduate school classes isn’t usually a problem, make sure w/ the professor though before (e-mail or stop by office hrs) to make sure that it’s fine. You just don’t want to get stuck in a situation where you’re short a class/units b/c the professor only wants grad students or it’s too subject specific and you’ll be behind.

But I know a lot of undergrads that take grad courses and don’t usually have a problem with getting in (hell they say it’s easier than undergrad b/c grades don’t matter as much at the graduate level).
