Can I terminate my enrollment two days before moving in?

So I’m moving in as a freshmen to MSU this Sunday, but I think I might have to terminate it because of some financial reasons. Is the school okay with that? I mean I’m registered for the classes and I’ve been assigned a room, but is it still okay for me to terminate everything all today? Because I’ve weighed the options, and realistically, it’s better for me not to go there this semester.

Only the school can answer that.

Random, anonymous people on an internet forum don’t have the authority to rule on that issue.

You need to find out how much money you can get back. There will likely be fees that you will not be happy with.

It is possible that if the “some financial reasons” are temporary, they could come to an arrangement with you. You have to call them.

They will probably want to keep you if possible. But if there is more to it than money, best to lose some money to avoid having to pay a lot more.

So: if you mean “okay with that” as in “they will give me back any deposits or other money I’ve paid”, the answer is likely “no”.

But if you mean “okay with that” as in “they won’t force me to go”, of course no one can force you to go to any particular college or college at all.

We have had several graduate students drop out this semester due to money; one is delaying one semester and another is delaying a year. But you won’t know what “is okay” unless you talk to them.
