I'm at a CC and i was thinking about transferring for spring semester to one of the top four universities in Florida or NC. I'm a biology major with a 3.6-G.P.A ......I would like to kmow instead of wasting my money for application fee...thank you

This is a question you should ask your transfer adviser.

What would your specialty be?

for zoology (research, prevet, or pre-ed) you need 1 semester of calculus and either 1 extra semester of calc Or 1 semester of stats
This is the list of prerequisites: make sure you have them all before you apply
We recommend that students who want to transfer from a two-year junior college complete the following “core” science and mathematics coursework in their first two years: Biology (e.g., BSC 2010/2011 plus lab), Chemistry (e.g., CHM 2045/2046 plus lab), Organic Chemistry (CHM 2210/2211 plus lab), Physics (e.g., PHY 2048/2049 or PHY 2053/2054 plus lab), Analytical Geometry and Calculus 1 (e.g., MAC 2311), and Analytical Geometry and Calculus 2 (e.g., MAC 2312) or Statistics (STA 2023)

for botany, you need calculus before you apply for Botanical research, but General Botany only requires precalculus. You will also need one semester of statistics.
For students who want to transfer from a two-year junior college, the minimum transfer requirements are:

Biology (BSC 2010/2011 plus lab)
Chemistry (CHM 2045/2046 plus lab) and
Math [Calculus (MAC2311) for the Botanical Research track or Precalculus, Algebra and Trigonometry (MAC1147) for the General Botany track].we recommend that students complete the following “core” science coursework in their first two years: Organic Chemistry (CHM 2210/2211 plus lab), Physics (e.g., PHY 2048/2049 or PHY 2053/2054 plus lab), and Statistics (STA 2023).

for biology in general, these are all the requirements since you can apply to CALS or CLAS (Ag or Lib Arts)

I’m planning on doing my calulus requirements at the four year university. I am getting out of the army in a few months and I really don’t want to use my benefits at a CC…i try talking to an advisor, but you how that goes, no straight answers, not answering calls or refer you to a link. Anyways, thank you for your reply.

Then you would enter as a sophomore (perhaps with 2nd semester sophomore status due to credits in non-required subjects), then complete your sophomore credits (calculus + the classes listed above), which you need before you can enter the major as a junior.
