So far, I am attending Georgetown NHS (nursing and health studies) for human science in the fall. However, I'm second-guessing my decision to apply to such a one-tracked school. I am still interested in taking humanities-based classes, but I feel like NHS will prevent me from that. Should I send in a letter requesting a transfer to the college of arts and sciences? Or will that have some kind of a negative consequence? Thanks

By the way, I was also accepted to Notre Dame, BC honors, Tufts, Vanderbilt, and waitlisted at Duke. Should I still be considering these schools even though I'm in love with Georgetown's location and campus?

You should consider Tufts again, I think, because its community health and public health programs are very strong. And you also aren't stuck in a one-track nursing school... there's a five-year program at Tufts whereby you get a community health undergrad degree and an MPH from Tufts' public health/med school -- I have two friends who want to be registered nurses and/or doctors who are doing this and love it.

For what it's worth, when I was picking schools, I was between Tufts and Georgetown's SFS. In the end I picked Tufts because I felt SFS was very one-track, too, and Tufts has an equally strong IR program but it's int he context of a liberal arts school, whcih has allowed me to double-major in an unrelated department (in my case, English; as well as a minor in Art History). Also, for me, Boston>D.C.
