As the title says can I transfer from a community college after being there for 2 years to an international university such as somewhere in europe or spain and portugal in particular?
I’m not sure if this is even possible, but there are a lot of factors involved here. 2 years at a community college basically amounts to the introductory level major coursework, and the GenEd core. A lot of international universities don’t really have a GenEd core in the same sense as an American university. All of the social sciences, humanities, communications, and science GenEd courses that a student would take here may not be a part of the degree programs at many international universities. So there’s a very good chance that a great deal of your coursework wouldn’t transfer. There would be a lot of difficulties even in transferring your major courses because US universities and universities in Spain and Portugal run on a fundamentally different structure.
If you know the country that you would like to study in, you should contact the Education Officer at the closest consulate of that country. That person is charged with the responsibility of providing information about higher education in his/her country.
