So I just read this forum http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/39478-best-possible-cc-transfer-ucla.html but I'm still confused. Someone said "UCLA has no undergrad major in dentistry, nor can you transfer into UCLA and automatically be admitted into their DDS program. So its unclear what you're trying to do." so what do I do?

I'm still in high school and.. well I don't want to say that I screwed up college apps but I did miss the opportunity to apply to some colleges because of my school's insanely early college application deadlines.

Some facts first: I go to a pretty good high school that's known nationally for smart students and its competitiveness. Its ranked as one of the top high schools in california and in the US and basically it's 80% Asian. Anyway, I've taken honors and AP classes and have an overall (weighted) GPA of around 3.7. I'm set on a future career as a forensic dentist.

I was considering doing the TAP program at a community college and then transferring to UCLA Dental but i guess that's not really how it works. So would I do the tap program, then transfer to UCLA (considering I get in) and then apply for their dental program?

I'm also considering going to UoP (seems easier to get in and it's also close to home since I live in the bay area) but I hear they don't really like students going to community colleges nor do they accept some courses taken at a community college. But if I take an honors program would that be alright? I applied going to cal state east bay (considering I didn't mess up applications enough to get in) so I could go there for two years and apply for their dental school? I'm not exactly sure how it works.

One more thing, my family is going through some financial problems which is why I'm not going to a 4-year college right off the bat so yeah, just another thing to take into consideration.

PLEASE HELP ME. I DON'T WANT TO MESS UP ANYMORE COLLEGE OPPORTUNITIES.
