although i’m not an expert at all at this kind of stuff, harvard admission rate last year was just above 7% if i remember correctly, so it’s fairly impossible to tell if your one of the few out of tenthousands to get admitted…
as far as i know, there is no specific formula to getting into harvard or similiar schools, just try to make yourself stand out as much as you can, focus on what you’re passionate about and show them your passion… if they think you, your character and your passions would fit into the student body, there will be a chance for you… sports got enough to get recruited btw? that might help a bit…

To start off with nearly every person applying to harvard wlll have a 4.0+ GPA. Most people with 4.5+ GPA (with AP classes) and 4.0 unweighted will get rejected. What you need to do is find other ways for you to show your self merit. What you lack for in gpa try to make up for in your sat score. Def. join student gov. and try to compete for different kinds of national academic awards. No matter what spend as much time as possible on your essay.

thanks guys… what is student governement??

lol garbage

NOW YOU GOT ME CAUGHT IN THE ACT YOU BRING THE THOUGHT BACK

Harvard isn’t accepting transfers for these next two years i think

^What cyan123 said. This year and next, Harvard will not accept transfers. Beyond that, no one can say, but I’m willing to bet it will be a long long time before they bring back transfer applications, if ever.

the OP said she is a HS sophomore…I think she got harvard class of 2010 mixed up with her HS graduation.

You’ve got a lot of time, calm down, try to get in on the first try, and if you don’t it’s not the end of the world.

Thanks Piccolojunior :)
