Can I transfer from UCI to UCLA or UCB?

<p>I got accepted to UCI. My major is computer science. Is it possible to transfer to UCLA or UCB after 1st year? If yes, what will be the requirement?</p>

<p>No, this is extremely difficult, if not impossible. The UCs favor transfers from Cali. 2-year colleges. You should make your decision assuming that this will not be an option for you.</p>

<p>You can apply to transfer as a Jr. but, you’ll be in line behind thousands of well qualified CC students. If you distinguish yourself with a near perfect GPA and other ways - it is possible.</p>

<p>According to the State of CA - 5 transfered from UCI to UCB in 2010. 24 went from UCI to UCLA.</p>
