I am a CS Sophomore, international student studying in a university in florida. I will be applying for fall 2018 as a junior standing. My College GPA is somewhat okay (3.67 or 3.7 if being lenient), ‘NEW’ SAT: 1540 and have great Extra curriculars as I hold a lot of leadership positions. I also expect to have great LORs as well.
Please let me know !
Why transfer?
If you’re performing well at your uni, why would you want to change that?
All of these colleges have better CS programs than my current one.
The UCs will be expensive, as will NYU. Most of those schools are public universities whose primary purpose is to serve resident students. Their admissions criteria will be specific to each university. You will be an international student transfer and some of your courses won’t transfer.
For the UC’s, priority admission goes to resident freshman, then California CC students, then UC to UC transfers then in state universities, and finally OOS universities. The CS major is impacted at most of the California universities, so they may be closed to you.
Your SAT scores won’t matter because you’re already attending a university.
Have you tried to contact the universities or viewed their admissions policies?
