Can I transfer to UW- Madison?

My entire freshman year my GPA has been an almost 4.0
It is 3.99. I got all straight A’s.
I made the Dean’s list both the semesters. I got the freshman highest achievement award as well.
I worked 20 hours both semesters, while taking 15 credits. And next semester I have been hired by my econ professor to assist her in her research, as well as by the student support services as a tutor. Also, I scored an internship with PepsiCo in their headquarters at Mumbai. They usually don’t hire freshman/sophomore level interns. So, that’s a biggie, I think. If I maintain my GPA and repeat the same thing next year, there might be a chance.

Apart from this, I played badminton at State and national level. I have given 3 national level Classical singing exams with the Gandharva Mahavidyalay. Also there is the book I wrote which was published world wide. My blog has more than 4k hits at the moment.
I have had past experiences in leadership position.
My major is Business. I am currently an international student studying in UW-Superior.

Why do you want to transfer?

It also looks like the tuition will be twice as much. About $15K versus $30+K per year.

Also, have you looked at this page at UW Madison? From the School of Business http://bus.wisc.edu/bba/admissions/transfer-student

@MerryLee yes, I have looked at it. And I have all the prerequisites in place.
Just want to know if I have a shot at getting an admission.

I don’t really know anything about the program other than what I read on-line.

Have you already applied? There is a flow-chart. that talks about direct admits for transfer student. http://bus.wisc.edu/~/media/bus/bba/admissions/transfer_flowchart.ashx

As an international transfer student, you might just want to contact admissions. It looks like there are some credit limits for direct transfer and some class prerequisites. I don’t know if you have to transfer to UW-Madison then apply as a intra-university transfer to the School of Business or if you can directly transfer from UW-Superior to the UW-Madison’s School of Business.

Good Luck.
