My first semester transcripts will be out this Friday, and my grades are going to greatly improve my gpa, class rank, etc along with being harder classes than previous years. If I update my SSAR and send my transcript with 1st semester grades on it, will it be considered for scholarships and overall acceptance even if it is going to have to be this late in the process?
Don’t think so since decisions are coming out in a little over two weeks so at this point they’ve gone through a bulk of the applications (again not saying I’m 100% on this but this is most likely the case) since it also says on their website senior year grades are looked at after one is admitted
@Eytal1 No, the only group that submits first semester senior year grades are students graduating high school in 3 years. Everything else stops at the end of 11th grade to keep it fair and consistent for everyone.
From what I was told by former college admission officer, it won’t hurt to update your SSAR. Colleges receive notices of your updates, but don’t necessarily read them. If you are on the bubble for admission, they might look at it (or they might not). So it won’t hurt you to submit an update if you have shown improvement, but the information may not be used at all. My son has applied to UF and FSU and sent his SSAR updates.
