Can I use a recommendation letter for several colleges and for different deadlines?

<p>I have requested one of my teachers to write a letter of recommendation on my behalf. He agreed and we are using the common app. I am assigning him to two colleges I'm applying under early action, but I will also need his recommendation to apply for regular decision to other colleges. When he submits his letter of rec, can I use it for those other colleges? Or do I have to assign him to all the colleges I will be applying to beforehand?</p>
