Hi. This may seem like a stupid question but I wasn't sure of the answer. I live in Pennsylvania and I just submitted the FAFSA. When I get my results, will I be able to use the money I get towards a college that is out of state, in California, for example? Thanks.

the fafsa doesn't give you money. If you get federal aid (pell or other grants, stafford loans) it can be used in any state.

The financial aid is awarded to you by the school. All FAFSA does is tell them what you are eligible for.

Oh okay, my bad. I was just making sure I could use it for OOS colleges. Thanks

You choose the colleges to which you want the FAFSA sent. They can be anywhere in the United States.
