Can I use high school Spanish to get me out of it at CC?

In order to fulfill the UC foreign language requirement, can I get a transcript from my high school showing that I completed Spanish III with all passing grades (B's and C's)? I didn't take the AP spanish test, btw. Just went up to year 3 and that's it.

Yes, either that or pass UC foreign language proficiency exam.

yea my counselor just told me to send or delivery an official high school transcript to the office (in my campus the graduation office).

yeah but you have to have at least 2 years with a 2.0 GPA. nothing lower than a C also

@ shanahan -.-

thats funny because i am 1 year transfer and they accepted it

@shanahanyang- what???

“yeah but you have to have at least 2 years with a 2.0 GPA. nothing lower than a C also”
^ What she said.

"thats funny because i am 1 year transfer and they accepted it "
^ Craziness!!!

When they say 2 years of high school foreign language, did they mean 2 semesters? I remember I took Spanish 1-2 for one semester at the end of my junior year then 3-4 at the beginning of my Senior year. I hope that counted.

Oh I misread that statement. I believe you only need Spanish 1 and 2 if coming from High School but you only need 1 semester of spanish from a cc.

Alright so here’s my situation. I went up to Spanish 4. The first semester I got a B, the second semester I slacked off and got a D. Since I already fulfilled my requirement, would it matter that I got a D (semester 2) in Spanish 4?

i only have span 001-002 in cc, in HS i took only span 001. i talked to my professor, he says those two fulfill the 2 year language requirement…
