Hi, so I’m writing my personal statement for the UC application, specifically the 1st prompt (describe the world you come from and how it has affected you). So I’m writing about my family’s financial issue regarding high debt we have, and how it has spawned arguments amongst my parents, and how we had to sell our house because of it, etc. Will college admissions seem suspicious because my family makes over 100k? I’m not lying or anything, as it has been a major problem in my life, but will the colleges see it otherwise? Should I still write about it or not?
