Can I write about this for my Brown essay?

I already wrote an essay about how art and sketching is an intellectual and emotional experience for me, but now that I look back at the prompt, I’m not sure if it fits. It seems like a very open-ended prompt. Is this okay? I talked about how my hobby is very influential on my life.

It’s probably how you talk about sketching. The essay has to answer the question somehow.

I really want to talk about a work of art (a painting) that inspired me. Does that sound appropriate?

“Tell us about an intellectual experience, project, class, or book that has influenced or inspired you.”

Could the process of me looking at the painting be considered “an experience” or is that kind of stretching it?

I think if it really means a lot to you, and you can express that effect clearly in the essay, you can make it work.
