Not necessarily.
I'm Asian and I have a non-Asian sounding last name.
Lot of people do.
For example, my cousins are middle eastern, but their last name is Baker.
And lots of Indians take last names like Thomas, Philip, Abraham

My last names Wu, so on my ethnicity I put down african-american. I'm obviously a ganster from the hood. I explained that I was one of the original members of the Wu Tang Klang.

I don't get it. Wu is not a last name for African American. Are you saying it as a joke, or did you really put it down as your ethnicity? Wouldn't that get you into trouble later?

Well Deng, Chinese, but Dang, Vietnamese and finally Tang, for you Waynes World 2 fans, Cantonese. I don't see how these colleges can deny there is some form of discrimination given that every "Primetime" I see not geared towards catching internet sex fiends, is about Asian kids getting all 800s and rejected by every Ivy (to end up at Swartmore) and the knowledge that the Asian kids are sent to military school if they get more than 2 Bs and how many Asian kids come out of military school? Exactly.
