Can l improve?

To be honest. I'm horrible when it comes to Standardized testing, l recently took that ACT Dec.14 for the first time and my scores were horrendous.

English- 13
Math - 17
Reading - 16
Science - 15

Com- 15 :(

I'm a A's and B's student with a 3.0 GPA. I'm currently a Senior and would like to apply to FAU (Florida Atlantic University). I've registered for the next ACT which is a MONTH from now and l was wounder if l study hard would my score go up 5 to 6 points?. My goal is to get least a 20+ is it possible? Is there any tips/ guides that will help me?

My mom hired a tutor for me starting tomorrow for the rest of the month.

Anything is possible and it can’t hurt to try. I recommend taking practice tests to get familiar with the format of the ACT.

The Real ACT (found here: [The Real ACT, 3rd Edition (Real ACT Prep Guide): Inc. ACT: 9780768934328: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Real-ACT-3rd-Prep-Guide/dp/076893432X)) was highly rated by other CC members. The book has practice problems and answers. Good luck!

Some students do better on SAT and others on ACT. Find out how you score on the SAT by doing some sample tests from the Blue book under timed conditions. Use the Direct Hits Core and Toughest Vocabulary books to help improve you Reading and Writing score.
