I did not take the ACT or any AP tests(excepting Biology, which I failed with a 2 without studying… can you tell my study habits were never that great?). No SAT IIs.

I did, however, write KILLER essays (if I do say so myself). I also took tons of classes at the local junior college, which were more work but boosted my GPA and also gave me, in my opinion, a leg up.

Oops sent early. JV soccer 2 years, varsity badminton 4 years, 10 years equestrian. Volunteered for 40+ hours at an animal shelter. Volunteered for 80+ hours at this day camp. Volunteered for 20+ hours at the local library. Treasurer of the choral student union. Climate protection club for 3 years. Top 9% of class.

No recommendations, no awards (aside from scholar athlete), nothing else. So yeah, you can do ittt!

Considering that it’s May 1st, I would hope to see a lot more posts in here soon…

Not too happy with high school, but I suppose I’m lucky I got in anywhere w. my stats. Going to UIUC. I ****ed around quite a bit in hs, and it came back to bite me in the ass. I took challenging courses, but had ~50% in hw for all my classes throughout hs, and basically got through w. some smarts. I’ve learned my lesson though, and am going to apply myself to college  Either way, this year’s college admissions were much harder than previous years (imo), so I’m glad i got in anywhere…

I was disappointed by my results obviously but i guess the app pool for this past year was intense. Im a white male which im sure didn’t help either. Middle Class. I know several other kids with stats similar to mine got rejected from all these schools as well. Good luck to all rising seniors

I love reading everyone’s acceptance it gives me ideas of what colleges want in a candidate

I am really trying to get some EC’s before I graduate. Currently I am going into 10th Grade and I have almost no EC’s except that I trade stocks daily. It consumes lot’s of my time because I have to do extreme research on the company/corporation before investing. I am really interested in finance and banking. The issue with that is that it is a “big boy’s game” that means that I can’t really do any research on that subject that would help my chances to get into Stanford.
