Can music help improve my chances??

Hi! I am a rising junior in a competitive public school in New Jersey. Although I know that colleges are always looking to fill their sports teams, I really have no idea whether most colleges value music very much. I love the flute and I have become very involved with it throughout the past year. I am not going to major in music, but I would like to know whether playing the flute could be a potential "hook" for me at some of the top schools.

I have listed info for freshman/sophomore years, and I tried to make this a little easier to follow by putting two stars next to anything music-related. (This is a really long post so please just pay closest attention to anything with stars next to it.) I really appreciate any input that you have.
