Can music minor help with admissions?

My daughter is a freshman in Florida and starting to think about the future. She excels at violin and has been playing for about 5-6 years now. Her greatest passion is Irish Dance where she competes nationally. Her grades are fair but not stellar. About 3.4 GPA. Couple honors classes (including Orchestra) and rest average.

We are mainly looking at Florida schools.
She doesn’t want to major in music though and was planning on dropping music after high school.

She would love to go to UF but I think given her grades and overall academics, I think FSU might be a good fit. Playing violin throughout HS may help show she is fairly well rounded (same with Irish Dance) but only helps a bit. But would committing to minoring in Music help even more?

So here is what we’re wondering…
If she is strong at Violin, could she actually apply for a minor in music at a higher level school like UF (assuming she passes the performance evaluation). Will this help with acceptance at all? If so, she can do even more with music like join the state ensemble while in HS.
