I got into UCB with a 3.9 gpa and have maintained in all of my classes As except for my AP Calculus grade. Although I managed to pass my last semester with a C+ my overall year grade isn't passing. I am freaking out because I dont know if my admission will be taken away! I had already met my three year requirement math courses, and took AP Calculus as a challenge, but now I am not so sure if that was a smart decision after all..My teacher was brutal and barely anyone received higher than a B at most :( Help please!

Talk to your teacher. Most teachers are understandable and most likely will at least pass you with a C- if you show sincerity. Why are you failing? Is it because of missing assignments or mainly hard exams? Try to get something to happen (convince him you’ll turn in your missing hwk, go to tutoring, volunteer during summer, or w/e).

If this doesn’t work, you need to email the undergrad email ASAP to see if you can do anything about it. I heard they are lenient if you have a good excuse.
