Nice to meet you! I am a senior in High School, with terrible headaches from worrying about college.
I am not the average overachiever, so try not to be too mean. Okay so this is some of my information:
Minority student(latino), female(I heard it can help since I want to go into computer science? O-o), first generation student from a low income background and have always lived in a violent city (Richmond, CA)
GPA: 3.8
APs/Honors: 8
SAT: bad (._.)
SATII: I will be taking the Japanese language test in 2 weeks and am pretty sure it will be a great score (I have confidence of my four years(going to 5) in taking Japanese)
I am trilangual: English, Spanish, Japanese (many people say I sound fluent)
I have volunteered in many places, but the one place I am truly proud of is volunteering at a Hospital (kaiser) for 500 hours, and will have 600 by the end of senior year. These hours have all been done in less than 2 years.
I have had an Internship at a city hall.
I have hosted a Japanese exchange student (apparently that makes me an ambassador?)
I dance in a Soran Bushi dance group(traditional Japanese dance)
I am the president of the Japanese Pop Culture club
I have taken 20 units of community college courses during summer and some after school in high school (I will have 28 by the end of senior year)
My essays are amazing(what teachers have said) because I talk about my background that involves many deaths, violence, and overcoming things blah blah
I want to major in computer science or computer engineering and with a minor in Japanese
Please help me!
And thank you very much <3

Are there any “test-optional” schools with solid computer science programs?
