Can my parents withdraw me from school?

Okay, so, without going into intensive detail, I am currently a minor in college, and my parents lord the threat of withdrawing me from my university over my head constantly. I turn 18 in November, but honestly, I don’t know if I can hold out that long. Can they actually withdraw me from my university, or is this just an empty threat?

Since you’re still underage that is a possibility. I would at least wait until you turn 18 before you do anything. Otherwise the only thing they really can do is stop paying for it if that is what they are currently doing. If they are paying for your tuition I would recommend looking into grants, scholarships and loans so if they do stop helping you, you can do it on your own. Once you are 18 though, they can’t pull you out of college as you are an adult enrolled in school. I would also really recommend talking to your academic advisor and seeing how their threats could affect you on other aspects, such as insurance and tuition.

Your parents can cut of your financial support for college. Without them, how will you afford college?
