Can official transcripts be sent only through the Common App?

<p>If a school (in this case NYU) uses the Common Application and requests your official high school transcripts, does it go without saying that they can be submitted through the CommonApp? Or do schools request a hard copy be traditionally mailed to them as well?</p>

<p>A transcript sent through the Common App is official so long as it’s sent from the high school in question! I’ve never heard of a college requesting physical copies of a transcript. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, but I’m sure it’s rare.</p>
