Can one C- get your application rejected?

Hi.

I just found out that a C- is considered a failing grade for some universities and colleges. I applied as a transfer student to Columbia GS from a community college with a 3.67 GPA, honor society member, a place on the Deans List and lots of extra curricular activities. Besides the one credit bearing class that has a C- (which goes to my Liberal Arts major), all my other grades are A and A-. Will my application get rejected?

I assume by Columbia you mean the Ivy League school?

If so, then yes.
You will not get in as a transfer with a failing grade on your transcript.

Depends on how relevant that failed class is towards your major.

^Columbia doesn’t accept many transfers…
The ones that they do accept have spotless transcripts
