Can one get an internship in IS/CS with just one information systems class?

The major information system class I’ve taken is management information system. But I’ve taken Precalc, Calc, and physics lab. Should I take Physics 1 and 2?

I know IS or CS majors don’t have to take physics, but will it help?

Physics, and even the Maths, won’t help really.

You need the CS/IS classes. At minimum, one programming class is probably needed. While internships in the field are readily available, they are also competitive. You’d be hard pressed getting an internship with a single class and would be better of taking more classes anyways.

What is your interest in a CS/IS internship without any experience beforehand?

Most CS internships expect you to have already taken data structures, at a minimum, which is usually the class after intro programming (ie 2 semesters of CS). Some may also expect a certain level of math beyond calc 1 (such as linear algebra).

For CS:

Short answer: Yes (out of yes or no)
Long answer: Very very very hard unless you have some kind of connection.
Like guineagirl96 said, data structures is “minimum” and even that doesn’t really cut it.
Unless you got some kind of spectacular portfolio or like I said, connections, do expect it to be pretty much impossible.
