Teacher Rec #1:9, History Teacher I have had since sophomore year, really saw me develop as a student and did very well in his class.
Teacher Rec #2:10, Physics Teacher, loved me as I had him for IB and then for AP physics right now, also started the physics club with him as our counselor.
Counselor Rec: 5, Counselor didn’t like me as she always thought I was challenging her when I wanted to take a bunch of difficult classes and often would be upset with me.
Additional Rec: 9, Scoutmaster from Boy Scout Troop, I had not lived where I do for the entire time I have been in the troop, but he still wrote a really good recommendation for me about my character

Reflection

Strengths:GPA, Scores, Leadership, Fundraising Events, spending large amount of time on essays(#BeatingProcrastination)
Weaknesses: Dedication to clubs/extracurriculars, also I believe this to be a personal thing that I went through but outside of school I had practically no social life, I dedicated so much time at the end of my sophomore year to start padding my application and lost out on having a fun high school experience, this did make me crack my social shell in class though, as I had never been very talkative having just moved there freshman year, but really opened up which teachers reflected on in my recommendation
Other Schools:
Accepted: RA MIT, EA UNC Chapel Hill Honors College, EA UChicago, EA NCState(Full tuition, Won’t be attending though, my parents made me apply for acceptance and tuition for bragging right which his stupid)
Rejected:None yet lets hope this trend continues

P.S. Will Chance back if you do me, please do it in the form of either percentage or safety/match/reach
Also, if you want you can do the other schools I have applied to Northwestern(Legacy), WashU, UCLA, Columbia, Brown

I was like, dang nice app and saw it’s alr paid off with that MIT acceptance - you can expect the trend to continue. No point in giving individual predictions but a pretty much acceptances (maybe a waitlist or two)

I just came here to say that I’m from (well not from, but live in) NC too and I don’t see many people wanting to go off to schools outside of here, especially prestigious ones. Everyone wants to go to ECU, WCU, A&T, UNC, NC State, etc…

Anyway I really want to go to Princeton next year and i think your stats are awesome (mine are not that impressive lol)! Good luck!!!

Thanks Guys, I’m actually really happy and so are my parents, I was sort of a late bloomer so glad it still worked out, and lilmonet, I agree completely, everybody wants to stay in state for some reason and I mean, I applied to Duke as well but don’t really want to stay in state. I have always liked meeting new people.

I think that you’ve done everything you could do and the rest of those decisions are simply chance (whether the adcom likes your essay or not, how they’re feeling on a particular day, where your app is in the pile, etc)

Chance back anyone>?

bump again because I would really like some people to chance me with how i specified preferably, also if it matters my UC GPA is 4.35, I took so many classes sophemore and junior year that only having 8 honors credit capped dropped it lol

I calculated my hours wrong now though after i checked it is really 210, wow i probably didn’t deserve MIT after that lol

Come on dude. you got into MIT, so you have the same shot at all those other schools and will probably get into most of them. Do you really need people to tell you? Haha but anyway congrats.

Thanks, man I’m just wondering, I like MIT but I’m still unsure of Major so wanted to apply to others for better programs in certain areas.
