<p>Before he submits F, can I drop the course and receive W on my transcript?</p>

<p>If you cheated and all he is doing is giving you an F consider yourself lucky and don’t try to pull a fast one on him. You will end up causing him to go further than he already is.</p>
<p>If you don’t drop it before the deadline which is like mid November for most colleges, then yes you might recieve an F, but check with your college drop deadline.</p>
<p>“Messed up big time,” you must have cheated. If that’s indeed the case, take that F and run with it. At my uni, cheating will get you much more than a F. If you just bombed a test and its before the drop day, here its Nov. 4, you can take a W instead. I’ve heard of a few times that they’ll allow a W after the day but you have to had at least a D and some reason you can’t continue or was bothered at some point.</p>

<p>Yeah, you should drop it as soon as possible. He won’t be able to change it because Ws are processed through the registar’s office. Though, some colleges require the signature from the professor in order to withdraw,and he might not give you that. Did you get an F on the exam, or you were caught cheating?</p>
