ECs:

-I volunteer with a nonprofit advocacy group (ONE.org, Bono's organization) that lobbies members of congress to cosponsor bills that fight extreme poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. So far, I've met two congressmen and they both cosponsored the bill that we asked them to. I expect to meet a senator later this year.
-Music (Saxophone player in Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble for 4 years. Both bands require a tryout and the Wind Ensemble is the best band in the school)
-Philosophy club (Founding member and VP)
-German Honor Society (PR Officer)
-Tri-M Music Honor Society
-Cross Country for all 4 years
-Indoor Track for all 4 years
-Outdoor track for all 4 years
-I volunteer around 20 hours a month at local charity races

Work Experience:

-Served as a campaign intern on a local campaign. The candidate himself is writing me a recommendation letter.
-Got a paid job with my local Democratic Party for the last week of the election (the one I interned with lost in the primary, the candidate who beat him hired me).

it’s a match

Cornell is a match.

Chance me?

Cornell seems like a match, you have the right scores and good ECs. Best of luck!

Cornell - High Match

high match mann…u good

high match. someone from my school with a 5.0/6.0 weighted gpa (basically all B in honors classes) and 1980 sat got in. he was a two sport varsity captain which probably helped.

chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1550440-chance-me-washu-bu-nyu-vanderbilt-etc.html

Bump.

@DontReject, chanced back.

Also, correction:

My second SAT score is 20 points higher than what I wrote (got a 730 on math). Pretty insignificant though.

My lowest class of my high school career is Honors Chem, I finished with an 88 IIRC. This year, my grades are down also if that affects ED chances. Keep in mind I take the hardest classes offered at my school in every department.
